In creative collaboration between luthier Florian Hellweg and artist Nora Gauger the Painted Originals are born – unique instruments that combine stringed instrument craftsmanship and painting in a distinctive way.

Each Painted Original is a one-of-a-kind artwork: symbolic, finely detailed, and visually striking.

The pieces are created with individual artistic concepts and specific intentions:

• Faces – portraying human faces with references to ancient sculptures
• Planet – generating a striking visual presence and dynamic energy
• Sedona Spirit – inspired by nature and by the atmosphere of an American landscape 

The first joint commissioned guitar, the JB Custom, is an electric guitar featuring hand-painted water and color flows as well as simulated wood grain. The instrument became a personal companion for the client and has been cherished ever since. Other commissioned artworks:

• Rolling-Stones-Guitar – electric guitar inspired by Rolling Stones songs and their distinctive vibe
• Family heirloom – reimagined with delicate orchid motifs
• In memory of a dog – with a decorative paw print, created as a personal keepsake
• Artistic details – on various instruments, harmonizing shape, tone, and musical style

Nora Gauger works in her own studio, directly next to the HEART guitars & more showroom. Her artworks and some of the Painted Originals can be viewed there, as well as at exhibitions, in a relaxed setting.
